Nail Polish Spotlight (Combo): Sally Hansen Lacy Lilac w/ Sally Hansen Diamonds

Hello everybody!!  I hope y'all are having a marvelous Monday! <-----  You see what I did there?!  Lol
Today the nail polish spotlight is go to shine on another combo that I'm just in love with!!! <3  Lately I've been really into glitter, you will see in future posts, and this combo is the beginning of my glitter obsession that I've had over the past month and a half!  >: D

Here is the fabulous combo!!!  I used two coats of Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac as the base color and one coat of SH Diamonds on top to add some sparkle!!! <3

Here's a closer look at the color w/flash.  You can really see the glitter particles in the photo, but in real life it's more like a pearly shimmer effect.

Here you can see the effect that the glitter gives to the polish a little better.

This picture shows how the glitter polish looked on top of the color.  It was a bit difficult getting an accurate picture of this combo, but dang it I tried!

I. LOVE. This. Combo! *_*
I'm definitely going to rock this on my nails in the future.  I wanted to try out the diamond strength polish by Sally Hansen and I'm very glad that I bought this one.  I would say that it is a close dupe to Essie's Pure Pearlfection from there Luxe Effects collection.  The Diamonds polish is a clear base with a mixture of white, silver, and blue glitters!  I was very pleased with the where if this polish and I'm definitely going to buy more from this line, I'm currently eyeing Something Blue!!!!!

I wore this mani for 4 days and had little chipping.  The removal of this polish was okay.  I mean it's a glitter polish so you are going to have to work a little, but it wasn't that much of a pain to take off.  I've heard that the "foil method" is the best way to get off glitter polishes, but I used the good ole cotton ball and acetone remover method and it worked just fine.  You will have some of the glitter move around and get on your fingers, but that usually happens with all glitter polishes.

Overall, I love this combo and I love these polishes individually too!!!!  Definitely go and check out the Diamond Strength line by Sally Hansen.  They have a good selection of colors and are reasonably priced at around $3-$4 a piece.

Do you have a polish/glitter combo that you love?  Tell me in the comments or post a picture to my Facebook Page!

Until next time!

Julep Cinco de Mayo Mystery box!

Hello hello wonderful people!!!  If you watch my YouTube videos or follow me on Facebook you would've known that I was going on a "no buy" this month.  I was doing great for awhile, 3 days, then I saw that Julep was selling mystery boxes again!!!!  For those of you who don't know, a mystery box is basically a box that Julep sends full of random polishes and products that range from $60 to $200!  The promo usually comes with a code so you get your box for $19.99, the regular price is $60.  I told myself that if I got a golden box for the month of May then I'll skip the mystery box.  Well, as you can see I didn't get a golden box! Lol so when I saw that the mystery boxes were on sale I jumped on it like a cat jumps on a rat!!!  For a while I kind of regretted buying one but that regret lasted like two seconds!  >: D

Surprisingly I got my box fairly quick and didn't realize what it was until I opened it!  Now, let me stop rambling and show you guys what I got!

Here are the items that I got in my mystery box!  From L to R:  Glycolic Hand Scrub, Natalie, Demi, Leah, Maya, and a glass nail file

Turquoise Stone Nail Art!

Hey y'all, long time no talk!  I was recently looking through some pictures and found some of this cute mani that I did a while back and thought I would share them with y'all!

The inspiration for this manicure came from a turquoise stone, hence the title of this post.  Us Texan gals love blinged out belts and turquoise jewelry, so I thought it would be cool if I could create turquoise stone nails.  This is probably the easiest type of nail art that I can think of, I mean...ANY and everybody can do this!  You can check out my tutorial HERE to see what polishes I used and learn how to create this cute and simple design on your nails!

I hope y'all are having a great day and I'll talk to y'all later <3

Zoya Earthday Haul!

Hey y'all!!!

Today I'm going to show y'all all of the goodies that I got during the Zoya Earth day promotion!  I've heard of Zoya before but I've never had the chance to see one in person or own any of their polishes.  One day I was playing around Facebook and saw someone post a picture from Zoya talking about the Earth day promotion.  Basically you have to buy a minimum of 6 polishes and you get them half off the regular price, $8, which means that you would get them for $4 each!  The next part of the promotion is to send off the same amount of polish that you purchased for the exchange.  The polishes you send back can be from any brand except for Zoya.

Zoya always have great deals for people that create an account with them. Click HERE to create an account and get a free nail polish!  If you buy two other polishes you get free shipping, which is about the price of a polish anyway so it's like getting three polishes for the price of one!

Here is what I got in my package!

I liked the little package note! Thank you Hanna! Lol

Nail Polish Spotlight (Combo): Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac w/China Glaze Rainbow

Hello my fellow nail polish addicts!!!  Today the nail polish spotlight is going to shine on a combo that I tried out a while back.  I LOVE Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear polish in Lacey Lilac and I wanted to try to layer it with another polish (or I just messed up my first mani and didn't feel like taking it off)!  So I picked up Rainbow by China Glaze, which I was loving at the time, and slapped it on top.

This is 2 coats of SH Lacey Lilac and 1 coat of CG Rainbow

OMG this combo looks amazing!!!! When I first put it on I wasn't a big fan of it, but after awhile it started to grow on me.  The application of Lacey Lilac is usually great but this time I was having a little trouble with getting a smooth finish, I guess I was half sleep or something, and CG Rainbow was the perfect thing to cover up my little mess ups with.  The finish kind of looks like a greyed lilac with pinkish violet shimmer, you can't really see the shimmer in the pictures but it's there! Lol

What polish would you like to see under the nail polish spotlight?
